The Burgundy Everhot 90i taking pride of place in the Millson’s newly renovated kitchen.
Nestled on the edge of the beautiful village of Praa Sands in Cornwall, live Mr & Mrs Millson, who have recently completed their kitchen renovation with a Everhot 90i in Burgundy taking pride of place!
Mr Millson is an experienced Neptune kitchen installer having worked for the high-end retailer for over twenty-five years. During his time with Neptune, Mr Millson has fitted beautiful kitchens in a variety of properties, ranging from a 14th century castle in Scotland, to a modern multi-million pound apartment in central London.
We recently caught up with the Millson’s to find out how they are getting on with their brand new cooker!
First of all, did you also design and renovate the kitchen yourself?
Yes, I designed and built the whole kitchen from scratch in an attempt to be sympathetic with the age and uniqueness of the building, which is a grade two listed property with rough stone lime rendered walls and a high vaulted ceiling. We took advantage of the verticality of the space for the kitchen, going high with break-fronted units and the cooker surround, drawing the gaze upward to the small stained-glass window high above.
Now your renovation is complete, what is your favourite part of your new kitchen?

A view of Castle Gate & the battlement wall.
The Everhot forms the centre of the kitchen, it’s our oven and grill, hob and toaster. It’s a beautiful piece of design, and acts as a heater for the room, and warms us up too, after a swim in the sea. So, the Everhot has to be our favourite part.
What made you decide on an Everhot 90i Electric Range Cooker?
Its design fitted with the traditional look we were after. It appealed to our love of historic houses and beautiful craftmanship. The economical running cost and the flexibility of the separate induction hob were modern aspects we leaned towards.
With 20 colours to choose from, how did you decide on your Burgundy 90i?

The view of Pengersick Castle from Castle Gate.
The kitchen space was designed with a two-tone mix of deep red and rich black. We noticed that the Everhot had a great colour selection, and the Burgundy we chose closely matched the deep red of the kitchen internals and feature panelled wall. It also stood apart from the rich black units, elevating the look.
How was your experience dealing with the team at Everhot?
The installation team was fantastic, bringing the Everhot up a series of many stone steps to the third-floor kitchen without a problem. They were very careful with the appliance and protecting the floor from damage during installation. Overall, they were fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable.
What has been the best dish you have cooked on your Everhot so far?
Since we’ve had use of the Staub Cast Iron Cocotte, chicken casserole, risotto and rice pudding have been amazing using the Everhot. The simmering oven really comes in useful. The hotplate makes wonderful chapattis!
