We were recently joined by a licensed bird ringer to discover how many owlets were inside our two barn owl boxes, and there were 5!
The owlets were successfully ringed and sexed, and their information will now be registered with the British Trust for Ornithology.
We are all incredibly honoured that 2 breeding pairs of barn owls call our rewilding sites home, and we’re looking forward to the owlets fledging, and welcoming more owlets in 2027!
