Nigel Haworth is a Lancashire based Michelin-starred chef who you will recognise from Saturday Kitchen and Great British Menu. He is Chef Patron of the Three Fishes in Clitheroe. When at home, he cooks on his Graphite Everhot.

“If you have never owned an Everhot cooker, then it may be difficult to comprehend how it felt for me.  A gleaming beast of a cooker, handmade in Dursley, Gloucestershire for over the last 40 years.”

Why did you choose an Everhot Cooker in Graphite?

“The colour works well in our farmhouse style kitchen blending in well with the blue and cream. The excellence of the craftsmanship behind the cooker is clear to see, what more could you ask for as a lover of quality British produce? Our kitchen layout is very traditional with the sink to the left and the layoff areas to the right of the cooker.

“The Everhot is so much more to our family than a cooker, it brings warmth to our kitchen and we usually have a daily battle with the dog to get anywhere near it. The Boost function is there to increase the temperature when needed, saving energy and time when you haven’t planned to be cooking, or those unexpected friends and family call around.”

Did your cooking style change at all when you chose an Everhot?

“No, my cooking style hasn’t changed. The ovens have just added options to cook at low temperatures together with the flexiblity of having an induction hob and the radiant hob. Both providing instant heat but of a different kind. The cookers I use at work are commercial, the Everhot ovens and hobs are a domestic version. The key being that either at home or at work, the ovens are true and efficient.”

What’s your favourite thing to cook in an Everhot?

“My favourite dish to cook in the Everhot is my famous Hot Pot – the Everhotpot. It just cooks so evenly and it always tastes wonderful. My top tip for cooking in an Everhot is to remember you have such unique flexibility with the ovens. To cook at low and high temperatures and don’t forget the ECO settings which in today’s world are so important to save you energy costs and money.”
